Introduciton
From its introduction the JT Spectre mask series has remained the most popular for recreational and tournament players alike. The professional Spectre model, the Proflex, has numerous features to set it apart from its base model. Years of design refinement combined with modern features make the Proflex a truly amazing mask.
Design/Comfort
The soft face foam and lightweight frame makes the JT Proflex amazingly comfortable. The foam that surround the face foam is thick, with **mm of foam. The highly ventilated bottom piece makes for a very breathable mask and the ability to bounce the occasional mask shot. Also, the Proflex comes with soft ears for this same purpose. A chin strap is also included for rough play or added safety.
Lens system
The JT Proflex includes a dual pane thermal lens with 260 degrees of peripheral vision, a lens system which has remained popular with JT over the years, consistent in design since it was first used in the Spectra. The dual pane design utilizes two different panes of lens on top of each other to prevent fogging. Lens changing has remained the same throughout time, with straight tabs that hold the lens in place. After changing the lens only a few times, it becomes a quick and painless process.
Modifications/Upgrades
There are a wide variety of upgrade lens’ available for purchase from JT, ranging from a basic clear lens, to variety of solid colors, from orange to pink, to a variety of faded, smoked, reflective, and other lenses- the choice is up to the player. There are also a multitude of straps available from JT as well, with pretty much any design you can think of, with varied popularity and rarity (some straps have been seen selling USED for over 50 dollars).
